What is Commodity Classroom?

Market volatility can make it extremely difficult to manage your farm’s finances. There are a lot of tools available, from insurance to elevator contracts to futures and options. But which is best, and when?

Commodity Classroom is designed to help you answer that question. Click here for a deep dive into what the event is to get a clear picture of what you have to look forward to. The two-day educational event is all about risk management: Fundamentals, basis relationships, technical indicators and other factors. Richard Brock and the experienced team at Brock Associates will delve into these topics, and how to integrate all of your available risk management tools into a risk management strategy.

Milwaukee is a great place to visit in the summer, and we have worked into the schedule some opportunities for sight-seeing and socializing. Your registration includes a dinner boat cruise on Wednesday, and a ticket to the Northwestern Mutual Legends Club at Miller Park for the Cincinnati Reds & Milwaukee Brewers game Friday night. Class size is limited, so please register early. We will refund cancellations if necessary.

Networking & Evening Socials

Thursday night we will take to the water for a networking social on board a vessel. We will cruise the Milwaukee River and then head out onto Lake Michigan. Dinner will be provided. A great way to view the city.

A favorite of past Classrooms, Friday night we will watch the Brewers take on the Reds from a luxury suite at Miller Park. The club has its own bars, gourmet buffets, and private bathrooms to complement the great view.

Hilton Garden Inn Downtown

The Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown is located in the heart of the city. This historic building was built in 1886, click here for some history of the building. Walking distance to the historic Third Ward and is located near the Milwaukee Public Market, Theater District and the Milwaukee Riverwalk. Fiserv Forum, Baird Center, Discovery World and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
